This Word template gives a medical student a clean academic CV with sections for research experience, publications by status, presentations, awards and skills.

What is inside

  • Contact and ORCID, education
  • Research experience with a line for your specific contribution
  • Publications split by status (published, submitted, preprint)
  • Presentations, awards, teaching, skills, references

How to use it

  1. List only work that is real, and state its status accurately.
  2. Use one citation style throughout.
  3. Describe your contribution, not just the project title.
  4. Ask permission before naming referees.

Example (illustrative)

A research entry: Data collection and cleaning for a retrospective cohort study (supervisor: Dr X, 2025). (Illustrative.)

Limitations and cautions

A template cannot supply achievements. List only real, verifiable work, follow any format required by the programme you are applying to, and have a mentor read it before you send it. The file is free to use and edit, and the footer credits MedResearch Ninja.
