Research should not depend on who you know.
Many medical students want to do research but have no mentor, no team and no idea where to begin. MedResearch Ninja exists to close that gap.
How it started
MedResearch Ninja started in 2022 with Dr. Sweta’s goal to make research accessible and approachable for students like herself. As a medical student, she saw how challenging research could be and wanted to create a space where others could learn, connect and grow in a supportive environment.
How the community grew
Over the years, many members moved from medical school into residency and stayed connected — mentoring newer members and sharing what they learned. Students, clinicians, mentors and collaborators each carry part of the work.
Mission
To empower medical students and aspiring clinicians in their research journeys: hands-on experience, critical research skills, and access to resources, mentorship and a global network.
Vision
A leading global student research community where every passionate medical student, regardless of background, can take part in high-impact research and help improve healthcare worldwide.
What we hold ourselves to.
Integrity in research
Ethical standards and honesty in every project, so the work can be trusted.
Collaboration and support
Members exchange ideas, ask questions and learn from each other.
Inclusivity and access
Research should be open to beginners and experts alike, wherever they study.
Continuous learning
Curiosity, and keeping up with new methods and evidence.
Impactful contributions
Projects that address real-world questions and can benefit patients.
Our commitment to research integrity
Authorship is decided by documented scholarly contribution, never by payment. Membership and project fees support guidance and resources; they do not buy authorship, a place in the author order, or a publication.
